DarkenedSkies Network Rules

Welcome to DarkenedSkies.
By joining and playing on this network, you agree to follow all rules listed below. These rules apply to all players, all gamemodes, and all platforms (Java & Bedrock).

Failure to comply may result in warnings, mutes, temporary bans, permanent bans, or other corrective action, depending on severity and history.

Staff reserve the right to interpret and enforce rules to maintain fairness, balance, and server integrity.

1. General Conduct

1.1 Be Respectful

• Treat all players and staff with respect.

• No harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks.

• No discrimination based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, or disability.

1.2 Inappropriate Content

The following is strictly prohibited:

• Racism, hate speech, slurs, or extremist content

• Sexual, NSFW, or explicit content

• Gore, shock content, or disturbing material

This applies to:

• Chat messages

• Signs, books, item names

• Builds, skins, usernames, nicknames, pets

1.3 Chat Behavior

• No spamming, flooding, or repeated messages

• No excessive caps or symbol spam

• English is strongly preferred in public chat to allow moderation

• Advertising other servers, Discords, or services is not allowed

️ 2. Cheating, Hacks & Modifications

2.1 Prohibited Modifications

You may not use any client, mod, or external tool that provides an unfair gameplay advantage, including but not limited to:

• Free-cam, X-Ray, or resource packs that reveal ores

• KillAura, Reach, Fly, AutoClickers

• Movement, combat, or mining automation

• Packet manipulation or exploit clients

2.2 Allowed Modifications

Allowed mods must be purely cosmetic or performance-based, such as:

• OptiFine / Sodium

• Shader packs

• HUD or UI enhancements

• Minimap mods without player or entity radar

If you are unsure whether a mod is allowed, ask staff before using it.

2.3 Exploits & Bugs

• Exploiting bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics is prohibited

• Duplication glitches are strictly forbidden

• All exploits must be reported immediately on the forums

Abusing a bug — even if found accidentally — will result in punishment.

3. Gameplay Integrity

3.1 Griefing & Stealing

• Griefing or stealing outside of intended mechanics is prohibited

• Respect claims, protections, and ownership systems

• Tampering with another player’s builds, farms, or storage is not allowed

3.2 Scamming & Deception

• Scamming players out of items, currency, or services is not allowed

• All trades and agreements must be honored

• Intentionally misleading players for profit is prohibited

3.3 PvP Rules

• PvP is only allowed where explicitly enabled

• Killing players in non-PvP zones or via exploits is prohibited

• Trap abuse outside intended PvP mechanics is not allowed

4. Economy & Trading

4.1 Economy Exploits

• Any abuse of shop bugs, pricing errors, or unintended money methods is prohibited

• Staff may roll back or remove illegitimate gains without compensation

4.2 Real-World Trading

• Selling or buying in-game items, currency, ranks, or accounts for real money is prohibited

• Trading items or currency across other servers or networks is not allowed

4.3 Chargebacks & Fraud

• Chargebacks or payment fraud will result in a permanent ban

• Donator perks are non-transferable and non-refundable unless stated otherwise

5. Accounts & Identity

5.1 Alt Accounts

• Using alternate accounts to gain an unfair advantage is prohibited

• This includes:

  • Farming rewards

  • Bypassing cooldowns or limits

  • Evading punishments

  • Inflating statistics or economy

5.2 Impersonation

• Impersonating staff members or pretending to have authority is prohibited

• Misleading usernames, nicknames, or skins may be forcibly changed

️ 6. Staff Interaction & Enforcement

6.1 Follow Staff Instructions

• Staff decisions are final

• Refusal to comply with staff instructions may result in punishment

• Arguing or disrupting chat over punishments is not allowed

6.2 No Punishment Evasion

• Evading mutes, bans, or other punishments (including via alts) is prohibited

• Attempting to exploit systems to avoid punishment will escalate consequences

6.3 Reports & Appeals

• All reports and appeals must be submitted through official channels (here, or in-game report command)

• False or malicious reports may result in punishment

7. Common Sense Clause

• Not every possible situation can be listed

• Any behavior intended to:

  • Exploit systems

  • Harm the community

  • Disrupt gameplay

  • Circumvent rules

    may be punished at staff discretion

8. Rule Changes & Final Notes

• Rules may be updated at any time without prior notice

• It is your responsibility to stay informed

• Claiming ignorance of the rules is not an excuse
